The Society Of Harmony And Magnanimity |

Hey Everyone!
I am Wayne, the Co-founder of Partners in Compassion / Cambodia. Caught off guard, this picture was taken by my good friend Andrew Jamieson as I was offering my nightly prayers at the Wat Opot Project's Crematorium, in memory of the over 500 of our members who have died from complications of AIDS since 2001. If you find anything in this web page that might be of help to you or someone else please feel free to use it or share it with others … but should you make some money from it’s use we would appreciate it if you would share some of it with us. Copyrighted material is marked and should not be used without the permission of the writer.
For those of you who would like to contribute material, to be considered for publication on this web-site, you can send it to: |

Why the name SOHAM?
The mantra SOHAM is a natural mantra for meditation, it is the mantra of our true self. It does not belong to the East or the West, or to any religion. SOHAM is inherent in all of us; it repeats itself continually, along with our breathing. Every time the breath comes in (SO) and goes out (HAM), one repetition of the SOHAM mantra takes place. Whether one is a Buddhist, a Christian, a Jew, a Hindu, a Muslim, or Nothing at all, one repeats this mantra unconsciously thousands of times every day. |
